"Wicca" with her newborn babies

"Wicca" had to undergo an emergency caesarean due to a ruptured uterus a week before her pups were due to be born. Sadly 5 puppies were lost but we managed to save 3 babies. I would like to thank Alistair, Sophie and the nurses at Pilgrim Vets for acting so fast and working hard to save "Wicca's" life and giving these pups a fighting chance - without you I know I would have lost "Wicca" as well as the entire litter. Thank you!

As the pups were a week premature they needed to be in an incubator for the first few days - with oxygen machine and heat - and were only with "Wicca" for short periods while they fed. She was very drowsy due to the anaesthetic and had to be supervised while her babies fed for the first few days, until she recognised the pups and accepted them as being her own.

Thankfully "Wicca" has made a miraculous recovery and is now taking care of her pups on her own and they are growing well. There are two girls and one boy - one girl is available as everyone who had reserved pups from this litter wanted boys and all except one lucky family are having to wait for our next litter - from "Wicca's" daughter "Tundra" and "Gizmo" - in early 2012.

"Tundra"

"Tundra" and "Gizmo" are very affectionate, sociable dogs with lovely temperaments and terrific personalities, as well as having excellent health test results.

We have already taken a few reservations for puppies from this popular pair.

Their litter is due around the 28th March 2012 and we have room on the list for a few more bookings before closing the list.

KC Accredited Breeder Scheme wallets can only be given with KC registered litters but you can rest assured that the same quality and standard applies to all puppies bred by Sansorrella.

Quality Assured

Sansorrella puppies can be purchased with peace of mind - all are fully wormed, vet checked, vaccinated, micro chipped and insured.

Puppies are sold under contract - if the purchaser's vet finds a health problem within 72 hours the puppy can be returned and a full refund will be given (excluding accident or injury occurring after the puppy leaves our premises). As the puppies have already been checked by our own vet prior to leaving we are confident there will not be any problems.

Should a puppy be returned for any reason but within a reasonable time, we will have the puppy back and endeavour to find him a new home.   We will undertake to refund any proceeds from the sale, less any expenses incurred, but finding the right home for the puppy/dog is of paramount importance and will take priority over financial considerations .

We feel responsible for our puppies throughout their life and like to hear how they are progressing.    If unforeseen circumstances mean a puppy or dog needs to be re-homed at any time during its life we will either take the puppy/dog back or assist in finding the puppy/dog a suitable home.   We very rarely need to re-home our puppies since we vet new owners carefully and only sell puppies where we feel a puppy has a long term future in a loving, caring home.

We are here to offer help and advice throughout the puppy's life - we are always available at the end of the phone and are pleased to receive updates, photos and visits.

Whilst I am more than happy to talk to people on the phone, welcome visitors into my home to meet my pack and to answer any questions you may have about these breeds,   please don’t cause embarrassment or insult me by phoning or emailing for help and advice about a dog purchased from another breeder, you should go back to the breeder of your dog.   A responsible, caring breeder will give a good after sales service and I am available, day or night, to offer help and advice to my puppy owners for the life of their dog, but not all breeders do this.

I will always abide by the Kennel Club new Code of Ethics and expect my puppy buyers to do likewise:

Breeders/Owners:

Will properly house, feed, water and exercise all dogs under their care and arrange for appropriate veterinary attention if and when required.

Will agree without reservation that any veterinary surgeon performing an operation on any of their dogs which alters the natural conformation of the animal, may report such operation to the Kennel Club.

Will agree that no healthy puppy will be culled. Puppies which may not conform to the Breed Standard should be placed in suitable homes.

Will abide by all aspects of the Animal Welfare Act.

Will not create demand for, nor supply, puppies that have been docked illegally.

Will agree not to breed from a dog or bitch which could be in any way harmful to the dog or to the breed.

Will not allow any of their dogs to roam at large or to cause a nuisance to neighbours or those carrying out official duties.

Will ensure that their dogs wear properly tagged collars and will be kept leashed or under effective control when away from home.

Will clean up after their dogs in public places or anywhere their dogs are being exhibited.

Will only sell dogs where there is a reasonable expectation of a happy and healthy life and will help with the re-homing of a dog if the initial circumstances change.

Will supply written details of all dietary requirements and give guidance concerning responsible ownership when placing dogs in a new home.

Will ensure that all relevant Kennel Club documents are provided to the new owner when selling or transferring a dog, and will agree, in writing, to forward any relevant documents at the earliest opportunity, if not immediately available.

Will not sell any dog to commercial dog wholesalers, retail pet dealers or directly or indirectly allow dogs to be given as a prize or donation in a competition of any kind.

Will not sell by sale or auction Kennel Club registration certificates as stand alone items (not accompanying a dog).

Will not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the breed nor falsely advertise dogs nor mislead any person regarding the health or quality of a dog.

Breach of these provisions may result in expulsion from club membership, and/or disciplinary action by the Kennel Club and/or reporting to the relevant authorities for legal action, as appropriate.

In addition:

Will not leave any dog alone for long periods.

Will not keep any dog chained or tethered - unless supervised in public places such as shows and campsites.

Will ensure puppies are well socialised and where possible attend puppy socialisation classes and further training.
